In 2008, Laura attended a comic book course that changed her life. Since then, she has never stopped experimenting and creating. While most of her time is consumed by drawing, Laura also enjoys watching fantasy movies, reading children's books, practicing Tai Chi, eating pancakes with friends and annoying her cat. Laura's debut picture book with Hazy Dell Press, Klyde the Kraken Wants a Friend, published in April 2023.
Meg Hunt
Meg Hunt is a celebrated and award-winning artist living in Portland, Oregon. In addition to illustrating the acclaimed Hazy Dell Press picture book, Werewolf? There Wolf! and four Hazy Dell Flap Books (Bigfoot Baby!, Alien Baby!, Pumpkin Baby! and Yeti Baby!), Meg has illustrated picture books for Chronicle Books, Bloomsbury, and Workman Publishing. Nicole Miles
Eisner-nominated illustrator Nicole Miles was born in the Bahamas and currently lives in West Yorkshire, UK, with her pet snake and human boyfriend. In addition to illustrating the swashbuckling Hazy Dell Love & Nurture Book, I Love You More Than Plunder, Nicole's illustrations have appeared in a variety of print and digital publications including The New York Times, Buzzfeed and Bust Magazine.
Kyle Sullivan
Kyle Sullivan is an award-winning writer based in Portland, Oregon. His titles for children include the middle-grade chapter books The Mirror People and Krampus Confidential, the picture books Hazel and the Spooky Season, The Cyclops Witch and the Heebie-Jeebies and Werewolf? There Wolf!, and the board books Get Dressed, Sasquatch! and Don't Eat Me Chupacabra! / ¡No Me Comas, Chupacabra!
Jess Mason
Jess Mason is a children's book illustrator from Worcester, England—the original home of hobbits! With inspirations including folk art, medieval manuscripts, nature, and film, Jess crafts nuanced, atmospheric, and characterful worlds to which readers will strive to return time and again. Her children's books include Hazel and the Spooky Season from Hazy Dell Press, Just a Girl from HarperCollins and Who Owns the Woods? from Little Tiger Books.

Gemma Román
Gemma Román is a Mexican illustrator and character designer. She works from her hometown of Culiacán, where she illustrates children's books for publishers across the world, including her Hazy Dell Love & Nurture Book, I'm Programmed to Love You. Her art has been exhibited in galleries in California, New York, and México.
Zoe Persico
Zoe Persico is a prolific artist and illustrator living in sunny Florida with a dog named Zombie. In addition to her four Hazy Dell Flap Books (Mothman Baby!, Nessie Baby!, Vampire Baby! and Krampus Baby!), Zoe has illustrated books for a variety of publishers including Disney Hyperion, Cottage Door Press, Macmillan, and Random House.
Andrea Reuter
Andrea is an editor extraordinaire living in Portland, Oregon. A world-class developmental editor and copy editor, Andrea supports and improves a wide variety of Hazy Dell Press titles, including the Hazy Fables and Hazyscapes middle-grade series. When she's not making Hazy Dell Press a better publishing company, she spends her time crocheting and creating patterns, including this pattern to make your very own barking spiders from Hobgoblin and the Seven Stinkers of Rancidia.
George Bletsis
George Bletsis is an illustrator living and working in Southern England. In addition to illustrating the beloved Hazy Dell Love & Nurture Book, I Believe in You, George stays busy creating art for film, TV, and video games.
Brooke Hartman
Brooke Hartman is an Alaskan mom and author of silly, serious, and sometimes strange stories for children and young adults. Her writing has garnered national awards, including honors from Writer’s Digest, Pacific Northwest Writers Association, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. When she’s not writing, she can be found flying, fishing, and having fun with her family in their home state of Alaska. Her debut picture book with Hazy Dell Press, Klyde the Kraken Wants a Friend, debuted in April 2023.
Derek Sullivan
Derek Sullivan is a Seattle-based illustrator. He has illustrated many books for children including Party Croc!: A Folktale from Zimbabwe for Albert Whitman & Company; and Hobgoblin and the Seven Stinkers of Rancidia, The Cyclops Witch and the Heebie-Jeebies, Monster ABC, and Goodnight Krampus for Hazy Dell Press. When not illustrating children's books, Derek creates art prints, cards and apparel for his company, Waxwing Press.
Gillian Reid
Gillian Reid is a British illustrator, designer and life drawing professor based in Ontario, Canada. Her works for children include You're My Little Legend for Hazy Dell Press and Peanut Goes for the Gold, written by Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness and published by Harper Collins. In between illustrating children's book, Gillian works as the Character Design Supervisor on Netflix's Hilda series.
Katie Cottle
Katie Cottle is an award-winning illustrator and printmaker living in Bristol, UK. Her books for children include You're Out of This World for Hazy Dell Press, Omar and the Bees for Owlet Press, and Home Grown, for which she received a Batsford Prize for children's book illustration. In addition to being distinguished as "highly commended" by the Macmillan Prize for Illustration on several occasions, she received a "One to Watch" award from British Design & Art Direction in 2017.
Elias Barks
Elias Barks is a prolific writer of children's books, including the Hazy Dell Press titles Bigfoot Baby!, Pumpkin Baby!, Mothman Baby!, I Believe in You, and I'm Programmed to Love You. A devout nature lover, Elias lives beneath the gray skies of Astoria, Oregon, with his two cats, Agnes and Magnus.
